Batam's Strategic Location for the Oil & Gas Industry

Kabil Integrated Industrial Estate is located on the eastern seaboard of Indonesia's Free Trade Zone (FTZ) island of Batam. Batam lies along the Straits of Malacca connecting the international shipping routes between the Indian and Pacific Oceans. 20 kilometers to the north is Singapore and one of the busiest seaports in the world with 130,000 ships calling annually.

Batam is also an ideal location for the international oil & gas industry serving the Asia Pacific region. It's easy access to supplies and distributors in Singapore and at the same time a gateway to Indonesia's oil & gas blocks as well as oil & gas projects along Australia's northern coastline. In fact, many of KIIE's tenants support projects in these locations.

Getting to KIIE is also easy. From Singapore, ferries depart Tanah Merah Ferry Terminal for a 40 minutes ride and arrive at Nongsapura Ferry Terminal which is only 15 minutes from the industrial estate. By air, Batam's Hang Nadim Airport is a 10-minute drive.
